Masterclass and awareness raising workshop for policymakers, program managers, academia and private sector in the area of Food & Nutrition Security.

It is found that for many organizations use of modern tools such as Geographic Information System (GIS), scenarios and online Informa & Knowledge Management (IKM) platforms for dialogue and tracking progress is rather new. The benefits in terms of efficiency and application domains are large and, in many countries,  this is part of daily processes.

The Master class aims at increasing knowledge and promoting application in the various working areas of the Food & Nutrition Security agenda. See also the Backgrounder for an overview of presentations.

The difference between data, information and knowledge, related systems and their use in business processes of the government and other stakeholders is addressed. Also, the results of the scoping study on  the use of modern tools such as GIS for strategic planning and M&E in Suriname will be  presented. In addition, you are offered the opportunity to get directly acquainted with selected functional applications in Suriname in this session.

For participation, registration is required. Please send the completed registration form  to the FNS- Secr.  email: fnssecretariaat@gmail.com
